Jeroen Plink is a recognized authority in legal technology strategy and M&A, with more than 25 years of experience as a lawyer, entrepreneur, executive, investor, and board advisor. His unique 360-degree perspective — shaped by roles across every side of the legal tech ecosystem — enables him to help companies maximize enterprise value and navigate successful exits. As the architect of multiple high-profile legal tech transactions, Plink has played a direct role in more than 12 corporate exits totaling over $2 billion. He led the U.S. launch and rapid scale-up of Practical Law Company, culminating in its acquisition by Thomson Reuters. He later served on the boards of Casetext, Kira Systems, and Leopard Solutions, all three of which achieved strategic acquisitions by Thomson Reuters, Litera, and SurePoint, respectively. Plink’s expertise lies in identifying high-potential companies and preparing them for acquisition or investment. He is an active advisor to private-equity firms and strategic acquirers, offering practical insight into due diligence, product-market fit, and operational scalability. As a venture partner at The LegalTech Fund, he also helps shape early-stage investments with an eye toward long-term value creation. With a foundation in law (former Clifford Chance associate) and a history of scaling legal tech ventures from inception to exit, Plink has been appointed to a number of board positions including (currently) Definely, Verbit, Cognia Law, Alt Legal, and Wemble.
