Matthew spent nearly four decades at the leading global law firm Clifford Chance LLP including 8 years as the firm’s Global Managing Partner. Prior to that role, Matthew was widely recognised as one of the pre-eminent private equity lawyers in London. Since 2022, Matthew has a portfolio of roles advising across the legal and professional services sectors as well as being Deputy Chair of the Board of Governors of Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London.
