John W. Jacobs has more than 30 years of investment banking experience with a focus on capital raising and providing advisory services to emerging growth companies, primarily in the European software and technology-enabled services sectors. Prior to joining Marks Baughan, Jacobs was managing director in the Global Industrials Group and European head of technology investment banking for HSBC Bank PLC, where he was responsible for leading HSBC’s coverage of the European Technology sector. Before joining HSBC, Jacobs worked at Credit Suisse First Boston as a managing director in the Technology Group, overseeing European IT services, software, and internet infrastructure coverage. Jacobs is an active angel investor, bringing his experience and advice to a range of early-stage companies. John earned a BA from the University of Michigan, an MA in international studies from University of Vienna, and an MBA from the Ross School of Business Administration at the University of Michigan.
